Ur is the common term when referring to the original quattro
Ur is an abbreviation of the German for 'original'

The Ur quattro comes in 3 'flavours' :-

WR	5 cylinder turbo 10 valve 200bhp normally open, lockable differentials 1981-1987(approx).
MB	5 cylinder turbo 10 valve 200bhp normally open, lockable rear differential and Torsen centre differential 1987-1990 (approx).
RR	5 cylinder turbo 20 valve 220bhp normally open, lockable rear differential and Torsen centre differential 1990-1991 (approx).

My car, shown on this site is a WR version (1985).
